Less is more. We believe in keeping it simple: giving you what you need and leaving out what you don’t.
Flip to the back of most bars and you’ll see syrups, overly processed fibers (e.g. chicory root or tapioca), “natural” flavors, and artificial sweeteners. These additives made us bloated or upset our stomachs and we didn’t want to sacrifice convenience for quality ingredients.
Below are the ingredients we used and why we chose each of them:
CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BLEND
— Marine collagen reduces environmental waste by upcycling unused parts of wild caught Pacific cod into collagen peptides - a tasteless, odorless source of amino acids that benefits the hair, skin, nails, and connective tissues that hold the body together.
— The body absorbs marine collagen better than bovine collagen, due to its smaller particle size - making it more bioavailable
— Non-GMO pea protein is a complete, non-dairy plant protein that is easily digestible
— Organic Cocoa powder is rich in antioxidants like magnesium, potassium, and iron
Organic Clover Honey
— Natural, unrefined sweetness with antioxidants
— Bars should taste good and we chose honey because it provided that perfect stickiness to hold our bars together without the processed fibers and syrups that we saw in other products
— Provides a rich and creamy texture without the chalky, dry bars made with almond or peanut butter
— Cashews contain zinc and copper, both of which boost the body’s ability to create collagen
— Goji berries are naturally an excellent source of vitamin C which helps your body absorb collagen more effectively
— These little berries also help reduce inflammation and pack a tart punch to our bars
— Delivers that unexpected “crunch” to complement the goji berries
— Similar to cocoa powder, they are rich in flavonoids and antioxidants that reduce oxidative stress and boost mood
— Highly nutritious, natural sweetener
— Dates are high in fiber, antioxidants, and bone-strengthening minerals
Himalayan Pink Salt
— Replenish electrolytes with pink salt that is higher in trace minerals than regular salt
— Himalayan pink salt has less additives and microplastics than sea salt making it a cleaner option
